A name or location entered in a search box is sent to the outside provider operating that tool. The provider processes the query and supplies its response. Craven County Criminal History does not retain or log those search terms on its own systems.

A message sent directly to us may be kept long enough to review it, respond, and maintain the related correspondence. It is not shared outside the organization unless doing so is required by law.

Visitor information is not turned into a record about another person or a consumer report. The site is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act.
