Why We Built This Site
No Craven County office holds every part of a criminal history. Current bookings belong to county detention. The Clerk of Superior Court maintains District and Superior Court case files. NCSBI keeps fingerprint-supported state histories, and separate state systems cover correctional supervision and sex offender registration. The site connects those official routes while keeping their scopes clear. An informational court portal, for example, is not presented as a certified clerk search.

This is a privately run reference site, not a North Carolina court, sheriff's office, police department, or state agency. Those boundaries limit what we can provide:
- We do not issue certified court files, rap sheets, or official background checks
- We cannot submit an expunction petition or public-record request for a reader
- We do not remove, seal, correct, or change any government record
- We cannot interpret a specific charge or offer legal advice
- We cannot promise that an agency's hours, fees, or contacts will never change
An official copy must come from its custodian, such as the Craven clerk, the sheriff, or NCSBI. We can only identify the proper route.
